Possible Causes
Failed combustion fan motor, Fan blades obstructed by debris, Loose fan wiring at control board, Fan not spinning fast enough due to bearing wear
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the grill and let it cool completely.
- Remove the side or rear access panel to locate the combustion fan (induction fan).
- Inspect the fan blades for grease, ash, or debris buildup. Clean carefully with a brush and vacuum.
- Spin the fan by hand; it should rotate freely without grinding or sticking.
- Check the fan’s electrical connector at the control board. Reseat the connector and inspect for corrosion or loose pins.
- Plug the grill back in and start it with the access panel open. Confirm whether the fan spins. If it does not, replace the combustion fan assembly.
Warning: Keep hands and tools clear of the fan when the grill is powered; it can start unexpectedly.
