Possible Causes
Igniter rod not heating, Combustion fan not running during startup, Excessive ash in firepot smothering pellets, Low‑quality or damp pellets
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the grill OFF, unplug it, and let it cool fully.
- Remove grates and heat baffle to access the firepot. Vacuum out all ash and unburned pellets.
- Visually inspect the igniter rod in the firepot. Ensure it is centered and not buried in ash.
- Plug the grill back in and start an ignition cycle with the firepot visible. Confirm that the igniter glows red and the fan runs. If the igniter does not glow, replace the igniter rod assembly.
- Use only dry, high‑quality hardwood pellets. Discard any that have absorbed moisture.
- If the fan does not run during ignition, troubleshoot the combustion fan and its wiring.
Warning: Never add lighter fluid or other accelerants to the firepot; this can damage the grill and cause injury.
