PROBE
Oklahoma Joe’s
Meat Probe Sensor Fault
Display shows PROBE error and food probe readings are inaccurate or missing

Possible Causes
Damaged meat probe cable, Probe tip exposed to direct flame, Loose probe jack on controller, Non‑OEM probe with incompatible resistance
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the grill before working behind the controller.
- Inspect the meat probe cable for cuts, melted sections, or kinks. Replace if damaged.
- Ensure the probe plug is fully inserted into the probe jack on the controller.
- Wiggle the plug gently; if the reading jumps or drops out, the jack on the controller may be loose or worn.
- Test with a known‑good OEM Oklahoma Joe’s meat probe. If the error persists with a good probe, the control board probe input may be faulty.
Warning: Do not run the probe cable through the door in a way that pinches it; always route through the designated probe port if provided.
