Possible Causes

Pellet jam in auger tube, Foreign object in hopper or auger, Worn auger motor gearbox, Dry auger shaft bearings

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn the grill OFF, unplug it, and let it cool.

  • Empty the hopper and inspect for screws, nails, or other foreign objects that may have fallen in.
  • Remove the access panel to the auger motor. Disconnect the motor from the auger shaft.
  • Manually rotate the auger shaft from the firepot side. If it binds, clear the auger tube of jammed pellets using a wooden dowel.
  • If the auger spins freely but the motor makes grinding noises or stalls, replace the auger motor.

Warning: Do not lubricate the auger with flammable oils; use only manufacturer‑approved dry lubricants if specified.
