How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the grill before working on the auger or motor.
- Step 1 – Empty hopper: Remove all pellets to access the auger intake.
- Step 2 – Remove auger motor: Access the motor from the side or bottom and detach it from the auger shaft.
- Step 3 – Extract and clean auger: Pull the auger out of the tube. Scrape off compacted sawdust and pellets. Lightly sand rust and wipe clean.
- Step 4 – Inspect motor: Spin the motor shaft by hand. If rough or loose, replace the auger motor.
- Step 5 – Reassemble: Reinstall the auger and motor, ensuring proper alignment and secure coupler.
