Display shows Er7 and grill may not respond to temperature settings.

Safety first: Unplug the grill before working on the controller.

• Step 1 – Inspect keypad surface: Look for stuck or physically damaged buttons. Clean the surface with a soft cloth and mild cleaner to remove grease.
• Step 2 – Dry out moisture: If the controller was exposed to rain or heavy condensation, remove it from the housing and allow it to dry in a warm, dry area for 24 hours.
• Step 3 – Check ribbon cable: If your model uses a separate keypad membrane, ensure the ribbon cable is fully seated on the control board and not torn.
• Step 4 – Replace controller assembly: If buttons remain unresponsive or Er7 persists, replace the control panel / main control board assembly.
