Safety first: Unplug the grill before working on the switch or wiring.

• Step 1 – Inspect lid alignment: Ensure the hopper lid fully closes and contacts the switch actuator.
• Step 2 – Clean around switch: Remove any pellets or debris that may block the switch.
• Step 3 – Test switch continuity: With a multimeter, test the hopper lid switch for continuity when pressed. Replace if it does not change state.
• Step 4 – Check wiring: Verify the switch wires are intact and firmly connected to the control board.
