Possible Causes
Auger motor speed sensor fault (if equipped), Jammed auger causing slow rotation, Loose auger motor connector, Control board auger monitoring circuit failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the grill and let it cool before working near the auger.
- Check for jams: Empty the hopper and inspect the auger intake for compacted pellets. Clear any obstructions.
- Inspect motor and sensor: Access the auger motor and look for an attached speed sensor or encoder (on some Rösle models). Ensure its wiring is intact.
- Verify motor connector: Confirm the auger motor plug is fully seated on the control board.
- Test feed: Refill with pellets, plug in, and start the grill. Observe whether pellets feed smoothly. If the auger stalls or surges, the motor may be failing.
- Replace auger motor: Install a new Rösle-compatible auger motor assembly if the existing motor is weak or noisy.
