Possible Causes
Undersized or faulty extension cord, Loose AC power connection, Failing internal power supply on control board, Tripped household circuit or unstable mains voltage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off and unplug the grill before inspecting power connections.
- Check power source: Plug the grill directly into a properly grounded wall outlet. Avoid long or thin extension cords; if one is necessary, use a heavy-duty outdoor-rated cord (minimum 14 AWG).
- Inspect power cord: Examine the Rösle grill's power cord for cuts, kinks, or burn marks. Replace the cord if damaged.
- Verify outlet: Test the outlet with another appliance or a plug-in tester to ensure it provides stable power. Reset any tripped GFCI or breaker.
- Inspect internal connections: Remove the control panel or side panel to access the control board. Confirm that the AC input connectors are tight and that there are no signs of scorching on the board.
- Avoid overloading circuit: Do not run the grill on the same circuit as high-draw devices (heaters, air conditioners) that may cause voltage drops.
- Replace control board if needed: If ERR8 persists with a known-good power source and cord, the internal power supply on the control board may be failing and the board should be replaced.
