Possible Causes
Pellet dust buildup in auger tube, Dry or worn auger bushings, Bent auger shaft, Foreign object in hopper or auger
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the grill and let it cool before working near the auger.
- Empty hopper: Remove pellets and vacuum out dust and debris.
- Inspect for foreign objects: Look for screws, nails, or other hard objects that may have fallen into the hopper and remove them.
- Access auger: Remove the auger motor and slide out the auger shaft. Inspect for bends, scoring, or heavy buildup.
- Clean and lubricate: Scrape off compacted pellets and lightly sand rust. Apply a small amount of high-temperature food-safe lubricant to bushings (avoid over-lubrication).
- Replace worn parts: If the auger shaft is bent or bushings are excessively worn, replace the auger assembly or bushings with Rösle-compatible parts.
