Possible Causes
Worn or missing lid gasket, Warped lid or cook chamber, Loose lid hinge hardware, Misaligned door
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the grill is cool before adjusting hinges or seals.
- Inspect gasket: Open the lid and examine the gasket around the cook chamber opening. Replace if it is cracked, flattened, or missing sections.
- Check lid alignment: Close the lid and look for uneven gaps. Adjust hinge bolts to center the lid over the opening.
- Tighten hardware: Tighten hinge and handle screws to ensure the lid closes firmly.
- Install new gasket: Clean the sealing surface with a degreaser, then apply a Rösle-compatible high-temperature gasket per instructions.
