Display shows generic ERR or ERROR and grill will not operate normally.

• Full power reset: Unplug the grill for at least 5 minutes to allow capacitors to discharge. Plug back in and attempt to power on.
• Check for moisture: Inspect the controller face and housing for signs of water intrusion or condensation. Allow the controller to dry completely in a warm, dry environment if moisture is present.
• Inspect wiring harness: Remove the controller and verify that all harness connectors are firmly seated and that no wires are shorted or pinched.
• Factory reset (if supported): Perform a factory reset according to your Recteq model's instructions to clear any corrupted settings.
• Firmware update (if available): Some newer Recteq controllers support firmware updates via Wi-Fi or USB. Follow Recteq's official procedure to update firmware.
• Replace controller: If ERR persists after these steps, the controller is likely defective and should be replaced with a Recteq-compatible unit.
