Mechanical Vibration / Loose Components
Excessive vibration or rattling noise from grill body during operation.

Possible Causes
Loose combustion fan mounting, Loose auger motor or gearbox, Loose internal panels or heat shields
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the grill and allow moving parts to stop before touching any internal components.
Steps to reduce vibration and noise:
- Identify source: Run the grill briefly with the lid open (at low temp) and listen to locate the noise source (fan area, auger area, or body panels). Then unplug before touching anything.
- Check fan mounting: Access the combustion fan and tighten any loose mounting screws. Ensure the fan housing is not contacting the grill body.
- Inspect auger motor: Tighten auger motor mounting bolts and verify the gearbox is secure. Check that the auger shaft is not rubbing the tube.
- Tighten panels: Check internal heat shields, drip pan supports, and exterior panels for loose screws or bolts. Tighten as needed.
- Balance grill: Ensure the grill is on a level surface and all casters or legs are firmly contacting the ground.
Note: Some fan noise is normal, but loud rattling or grinding should be corrected to prevent premature component wear.
