Possible Causes
Weak Wi-Fi signal at grill location, Incorrect network credentials stored in controller, Internal Wi-Fi module failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Network troubleshooting does not involve hot components, but avoid moving the grill while hot.
Steps to restore Wi-Fi connectivity:
- Check signal strength: Use a phone near the grill to verify Wi-Fi signal. If weak, move the router closer or use a Wi-Fi extender.
- Reset network settings: Follow your Recteq model's instructions to clear or reset Wi-Fi settings on the controller.
- Re-pair with app: Use the Recteq app to add the grill again, entering correct SSID and password. Ensure you are on a 2.4 GHz network if required.
- Firmware update: If the grill connects but behaves erratically, check for firmware updates via the app and apply them.
- Module failure: If the grill will not connect to any network and other devices work fine, the internal Wi-Fi module or controller may be faulty and require replacement.
Note: Wi-Fi issues do not usually affect basic grill operation; you can cook using the local controller while troubleshooting connectivity.
