Display shows Er7 and grill will not power up fully; buttons may be unresponsive or display is blank with error flash.

Safety first: Unplug the grill before removing the control panel.

Steps to address:

• Remove control panel: Unscrew the mounting screws and gently pull the panel out, taking care not to strain the wiring.
• Inspect ribbon and connectors: Locate the flat ribbon cable or multi-pin connector between the display/keypad and the main control board. Ensure it is fully seated and not corroded or damaged.
• Dry the panel: If there are signs of condensation or water inside the panel, allow it to dry completely in a warm, dry area. Do not use direct heat.
• Check for physical damage: Look for cracked display glass, burnt components, or broken traces on the control PCB.
• Reseat or replace: Reseat all connectors. If the keypad remains unresponsive or Er7 persists, replace the complete Royal Gourmet control panel assembly (display + keypad) or the main control board, depending on which is available as a service part.
• Reassemble and test: Reinstall the panel, plug in the grill, and verify that all buttons respond and the display operates normally.
