Possible Causes
Tripped household breaker or GFCI, Faulty power outlet, Damaged power cord on Royal Gourmet pellet grill, Blown internal fuse on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Before opening any panels, unplug the grill. Do not bypass safety devices.
Steps to restore power:
- Check outlet and breaker: Test the outlet with another device. Reset any tripped breaker or GFCI.
- Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, melted areas, or crushed sections. Replace the cord if any damage is found.
- Access control board: Remove the control panel and locate any inline or board-mounted fuses. Replace blown fuses only with the same type and rating, and investigate for shorts if a fuse has blown.
- Check internal connections: Ensure the AC input wires are firmly connected to the control board terminals.
- Replace control board if dead: If proper AC is present at the board but there is no response, replace the Royal Gourmet main control board.
