Possible Causes
Shorted or open meat probe jack, Damaged plug‑in food probe, Corroded probe socket on control panel, Control board sensor input failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the grill before inspecting the probe jack from inside the control box.
- 1. Remove any probes: Unplug all meat/food probes from the front panel. Power the grill back on. If the SEN error clears, the issue is with a probe, not the grill.
- 2. Test probes individually: Plug in one probe at a time and observe the display. Replace any probe that causes the error or reads unrealistic temperatures.
- 3. Inspect probe jack: Look inside the jack for grease, moisture, or bent contacts. Clean gently with a cotton swab and contact cleaner.
- 4. Internal check: From inside the control box, verify the jack’s solder joints and wiring to the control board. Resolder cracked joints if qualified, or replace the jack assembly.
- 5. Control board replacement: If the jack and probes are good but SEN persists, the sensor input on the board is likely damaged and the board should be replaced.
