Exterior of hopper or side walls become excessively hot to the touch

Safety first: Maintain safe clearances around the grill as specified by Tepro. Surfaces can be hot during normal operation.

• 1. Verify internal shields: Check that all factory heat shields and baffles are installed and correctly positioned.
• 2. Inspect fire pot and diffuser: Replace warped or damaged parts that may be directing heat toward the hopper or side walls.
• 3. Check clearances: Move the grill away from walls, railings, or other appliances to allow proper airflow around the cabinet.
• 4. Monitor firing rate: Avoid running at maximum temperature for extended periods if the cabinet becomes excessively hot.
