Possible Causes
Blown internal fuse on control board, Faulty power switch, Damaged power cord, Loose neutral or live connection at terminal block
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the grill before opening any electrical compartments. If you are not comfortable working with mains voltage, contact a qualified technician.
- 1. Verify outlet and breaker: Test the wall outlet with another appliance. Check the household breaker or RCD/GFCI and reset if tripped.
- 2. Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, crushed sections, or burn marks. Replace the cord if any damage is found.
- 3. Check power switch: Access the rear of the power switch. With the grill unplugged, ensure the spade connectors are tight. With a multimeter, verify continuity through the switch when turned ON.
- 4. Internal fuse: Many Tepro boards have a small glass or blade fuse. Locate it on the control board, remove, and inspect. Replace only with the same type and rating.
- 5. Terminal block connections: Tighten any screw terminals where the mains cord connects to the grill wiring. Loose connections can prevent power and cause overheating.
- 6. If still dead: If all external components are good, the control board’s power supply is likely failed and the board should be replaced.
