Strong smoke leaking from lid edges and seams instead of chimney

Possible Causes
Warped lid, Worn or missing lid gasket, Chimney cap closed too far, Excessive internal pressure from high fan speed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Operate the grill in a well‑ventilated outdoor area only.
- 1. Check chimney cap position: Adjust the chimney cap to the recommended gap per Tepro’s manual to promote proper draft.
- 2. Inspect lid alignment: Close the lid and check for gaps. Adjust hinges if possible to improve fit.
- 3. Install or replace gasket: If your model uses a high‑temp gasket, replace any sections that are compressed, burned, or missing.
- 4. Avoid blocking exhaust: Do not cover the chimney or place objects on top that restrict flow.
