Uneven cooking, one side of grill much hotter than the other

Safety first: Let the grill cool before adjusting internal components.

• 1. Inspect heat diffuser: Remove grates and check the heat diffuser/heat shield over the fire pot. Ensure it is not warped and is centered properly.
• 2. Clean air passages: Clear any ash or debris from around the fire pot, especially on the cooler side.
• 3. Rotate food and use zones: Until perfect balance is restored, place sensitive foods in the more stable area and rotate during cooking.
• 4. Shield from wind: Move the grill or use a windbreak to prevent strong crosswinds from affecting one side.
• 5. Replace damaged diffuser: If the diffuser is warped or corroded through, replace it with a new Tepro heat diffuser plate.
