Possible Causes
Ash sensor detecting blockage (if equipped), Excessive ash buildup in firepot, Blocked ash clean-out trap door, Poor combustion due to infrequent cleaning
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF and unplug the grill. Allow it to cool completely before cleaning ash.
- Clean firepot and burn area: Remove grates, drip tray, and heat diffuser. Vacuum ash from the firepot, under the firepot, and from any ash collection drawer.
- Check ash clean-out system: If your Timberwolf model has an ash clean-out trap or slide, ensure it moves freely and seals properly when closed.
- Inspect ash sensor (if present): Some models use an optical or mechanical ash sensor. Clean the sensor window or mechanism gently to restore proper operation.
- Reset reminder: Follow the user manual to reset the ASH FULL reminder or maintenance counter via the control panel.
