Possible Causes
Lid or hopper switch reporting open, Control board locked in error state, Faulty START button on keypad, Internal fuse blown on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the grill before opening the control panel or accessing wiring.
- Check for active messages: Look for LID OPEN, HOPPER OPEN, or other warnings on the display and resolve those first.
- Cycle power: Turn the main power switch OFF, unplug for 60 seconds, then plug back in and try again.
- Test START button: Press other buttons to see if they respond. If only START fails, the Timberwolf Control Keypad Assembly may be defective.
- Inspect board fuses: Remove the control panel and check any onboard fuses. Replace only with identical ratings.
- Replace keypad or board: If interlocks are satisfied and fuses are good but the grill still will not start, replace the keypad or full control board as indicated by your tests.
