Possible Causes
Combustion fan running too fast, Excessive chimney draft, Control board feed rate too low, Air leaks around firepot or door gasket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the grill to cool before adjusting components.
- Check fan operation: If the combustion fan runs at full speed even on low settings, the control board or fan may be faulty. Inspect wiring and replace the Timberwolf Digital Control Board or fan as needed.
- Reduce chimney draft: Ensure the chimney cap is installed and properly adjusted. Avoid using tall aftermarket stacks that increase draft.
- Inspect door gasket: Replace worn or damaged Timberwolf Door Gasket to reduce uncontrolled airflow.
- Use smoke-enhancing settings: If your controller has a dedicated smoke mode, use it to increase pellet smoldering at lower temperatures.
