Possible Causes
Failed fan motor, Obstruction in fan blades, Loose or burned fan wiring, Controller fan output failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the grill before accessing the fan. Keep fingers clear of blades when testing.
- 1. Visual check:
- Remove the hopper side panel to expose the fan.
- Look for grease, debris, or wires blocking the blades.
- 2. Spin test:
- With power OFF, spin the fan by hand; it should rotate freely.
- If stiff or seized, replace the fan.
- 3. Voltage test:
- With the grill calling for fan operation, measure voltage at the fan connector.
- If voltage is present but the fan does not run, replace the fan.
- If no voltage, inspect wiring back to the controller and consider controller replacement.
