Possible Causes
Wi-Fi module not powered or not seated, Weak home Wi-Fi signal at grill location, Incorrect network credentials, Failed Wi-Fi module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Only work inside the control area with the grill unplugged. Do not modify wiring beyond manufacturer instructions.
Steps to address Wi-Fi issues:
- 1. Verify basic operation: Confirm the grill powers on and operates manually from the control panel. If not, resolve power/control issues first.
- 2. Check signal strength: Use a phone near the grill to confirm your home Wi-Fi network is visible and has a strong signal. Consider moving the router or using a range extender if signal is weak.
- 3. Reset Wi-Fi module: Follow the Twin Eagles user manual to perform a Wi-Fi reset (often involves holding a specific button sequence on the control panel). Re-enter network credentials via the app if required.
- 4. Inspect Wi-Fi module connection: With power disconnected, open the control housing and locate the Wi-Fi module (often a small daughterboard or plug-in card). Ensure it is firmly seated in its connector and that its antenna lead is attached.
- 5. Replace Wi-Fi module if needed: If the module is not detected after reset and reseating, replace it with a Twin Eagles-compatible Wi-Fi module.
