Possible Causes
Damp or low-BTU pellets, Dirty fire pot and burn area, Weak combustion fan, Leaking door or gasket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the grill to cool before cleaning or adjusting components.
Steps to improve heat output:
- 1. Use quality pellets: Replace pellets with a fresh, premium hardwood brand recommended for Twin Eagles grills. Store pellets in a dry, sealed container.
- 2. Clean the fire pot and diffuser: Remove ash and carbon buildup from the fire pot, diffuser plate, and interior surfaces to improve combustion.
- 3. Check door seal: Inspect the lid gasket (if equipped) and door alignment. Adjust hinges and replace worn gaskets to reduce heat loss.
- 4. Verify fan performance: Listen for a strong, steady fan sound. Clean intake vents and ensure nothing blocks airflow.
If the grill still cannot reach temperature, the combustion fan or control board may not be delivering enough fuel or air and may require service.
