How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off and unplug the grill. Allow it to cool completely before removing pellets from the fire pot.
- Clear fire pot: Remove grates and baffles. Vacuum out excess pellets and ash from the fire pot and surrounding area.
- Check startup procedure: Always start with a mostly empty fire pot. If the grill fails to ignite, clear the pot before retrying.
- Inspect combustion fan: Ensure the fan is running properly to burn pellets efficiently.
- Observe auger behavior: During startup, watch the auger from the hopper. If it runs continuously without cycling off, the auger relay on the control board may be stuck, requiring board replacement.
- Firmware update: If available, update controller firmware to correct any known feed-rate issues.
