Possible Causes
Fan motor failed open, Fan connector unplugged, Broken fan wire, Controller fan output failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before touching the fan or wiring.
- Inspect fan wiring: Locate the combustion fan and follow its wires to the controller. Ensure the connector is fully seated and wires are intact.
- Check for obstructions: Confirm nothing is blocking the fan blades. Remove any debris.
- Test fan motor: With the grill started, listen and feel for fan operation. If there is no movement, unplug the grill and test the fan with an external power source if qualified. Replace the fan if it does not run.
- Controller replacement: If the fan runs on external power but not when connected to the controller, replace the main control board.
