Possible Causes
Loose power cord at inlet, Failing power switch contacts, Overheating controller, Vibration loosening internal connectors
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the grill before tightening or reseating any electrical connections.
- Secure power cord: Ensure the cord is fully inserted into the grill's inlet and the wall outlet. Avoid tension on the cord.
- Inspect power switch: Wiggle the switch gently while the grill is running (if safe to do so). If the display flickers, replace the power switch.
- Check internal connectors: Remove the controller and verify all harness plugs are firmly seated. Apply dielectric grease if recommended.
- Ventilation: Make sure the controller area is not blocked and can dissipate heat. Overheating can cause shutdowns.
- Replace controller if needed: If all external causes are eliminated, an internal controller fault may be causing resets and the main control board should be replaced.
