Possible Causes
Wind or cold ambient conditions, RTD probe placement or contamination, Incorrect P-setting for mode
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Avoid placing flammable materials near the grill when operating in windy conditions.
Steps to stabilize:
- Shield from wind: Move the grill to a more sheltered location or use a windbreak.
- Clean RTD probe: Wipe grease off the RTD temperature sensor to ensure accurate readings.
- Adjust P-setting: In smoke mode, try a mid-range P-setting (P3–P4) and allow time for stabilization.
- Avoid frequent lid opening: Each opening causes swings; use a remote thermometer if needed.
