Possible Causes
Shorted or open sensor circuit, Multiple sensor failures, Control board analog input failure, Incorrect sensor type installed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before unplugging or testing sensors.
- Identify which sensor: Some AquaCal models will show SE along with a sub‑code or allow viewing of sensor readings in diagnostics. Determine which sensor is out of range.
- Inspect all sensor harnesses: Check water, air, and coil sensors for physical damage and secure connections.
- Test sensors: Using AquaCal's resistance chart, measure each sensor at known temperatures. Replace any that are out of specification.
- Control board check: If all sensors test good but SE remains, the control board's sensor input circuitry may be defective and require replacement.
