Possible Causes
Open or shorted gas valve coil, Loose gas valve connector, Faulty control board gas valve driver
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off gas and power. Do not attempt to disassemble the gas valve body.
- Inspect gas valve wiring: Locate the gas valve on the gas train and check that its electrical connector is fully seated and free of corrosion.
- Check harness continuity: With power off, test continuity of the wiring between the control board and gas valve coil. Repair any damaged wires.
- Coil resistance test (advanced): Measure resistance across the gas valve coil terminals and compare to Aquacomfort specifications. A reading of open (infinite) or short (near zero) indicates a bad valve.
- Professional replacement: Gas valve replacement and leak testing must be performed by a licensed gas technician.
