Possible Causes
Mis-calibrated temperature sensor, Faulty control board temperature circuit, Incorrect temperature offset setting
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before changing internal settings if panels must be removed.
- Verify actual water temperature: Use a reliable pool thermometer to compare actual water temperature to the heater’s display.
- Check temperature offset: Some Aquacomfort models allow a calibration offset in the service menu. Ensure it is set to 0 or a reasonable value.
- Sensor check: If the displayed temperature is consistently wrong by a large margin, test or replace the water temperature sensor.
- Board replacement: If sensor is accurate but F17 persists, the control board’s temperature circuit may be defective and require replacement.
