Possible Causes

Incorrect wiring from pool controller, Shorted remote thermostat terminals, Misconfigured internal/remote control setting, Faulty external control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power before accessing the wiring compartment.

  • Check control mode: On the AstralPool control panel, verify whether the heater is set to local or remote control. If using the onboard thermostat, set it to local.
  • Inspect remote wiring: If connected to an AstralPool or third-party automation system, verify that the two-wire remote connection is correctly landed on the designated terminals and not shorted.
  • Temporarily disconnect remote: Remove the remote control wires and install the factory jumper (if provided) across the thermostat terminals. Restore power and test. If F2 clears, the issue is with the external controller or wiring.

Consult the automation system manual or an installer if F2 is related to external control integration.
