How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before cleaning or treating corroded areas.
- Address leaks: Fix any water leaks from unions, valves, or pipework that are wetting the heater casing.
- Improve environment: Increase ventilation and reduce chemical storage near the heater. Avoid directing chlorinated air from dosing systems at the unit.
- Clean and protect: Remove surface rust with a non-metallic abrasive pad and apply a suitable protective coating as recommended by Elecro.
