Possible Causes
Failed inlet NTC sensor, Loose or corroded sensor connector, Damaged sensor cable due to vibration or UV exposure, Water ingress into sensor pocket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and close water valves before removing any sensors from the plumbing.
Steps:
- Locate inlet sensor: On Fairland units, the inlet water temperature sensor is usually threaded or inserted into a sensor well on the water inlet manifold.
- Inspect connection: Check the plug at the sensor and at the main PCB. Clean any corrosion and reseat firmly.
- Check for leaks: Look for moisture around the sensor body that could indicate a seal failure.
Resolution:
- If E06 persists, the inlet water temperature sensor should be replaced. Use thread sealant or the supplied O-ring as specified by Fairland.
- A technician can verify sensor resistance against Fairland’s temperature-resistance chart.
