How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Disconnect power at the breaker before removing the control panel or front cover.
- Access control compartment: Remove the front panel to expose the display board and main control board.
- Inspect wiring harness: Locate the ribbon cable or harness connecting the display to the main board. Gently disconnect and reconnect it to clean the contacts.
- Check for moisture: Look for signs of water intrusion or condensation on the boards. If present, correct the source of leaks and allow components to dry completely.
- Visual inspection: Examine boards for burnt components or corrosion. If damage is visible, replacement of the affected board is recommended.
- Test operation: Restore power and see if CE clears. If not, one of the boards is likely defective and should be replaced with Hayward OEM parts.
