Possible Causes
Failed keypad membrane, Moisture intrusion into control panel, Loose ribbon cable to display board, Locked control mode
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn off power before removing the front control panel.
- Dry the panel: If the panel is wet from rain or splashing, allow it to dry completely. Do not use the heater until the panel is dry.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the front bezel and check the flat cable between the keypad and display/control board. Reseat both ends.
- Check for lockout: Some models allow locking the keypad. Refer to the manual to unlock if a lock icon is shown.
- Replace keypad: If buttons still do not respond, the keypad membrane may need replacement as a complete front panel assembly.
