Possible Causes
Incorrect wiring to fireman’s switch or remote terminals, Misconfigured automation heater type, Open external enable circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power to both the heater and automation panel before adjusting low‑voltage wiring.
- Verify wiring: Compare the wiring between the automation relay and the Heat Siphon remote/fireman’s switch terminals to the Heat Siphon and automation manuals.
- Test local control: Temporarily disconnect automation wires and set the heater to local control with a high setpoint. If it runs, the issue is in the automation system or wiring.
- Automation settings: In the automation menu, confirm the heater type is set to HEAT PUMP/HEAT SIPHON and that the water temperature setpoint is above current temperature.
- Repair wiring or configuration: Correct any miswiring or programming errors. Replace damaged low‑voltage cable if needed.
