How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing sensors.
- Locate defrost sensor: Usually attached to the evaporator coil or refrigerant line leaving the coil.
- Inspect and reseat: Ensure the sensor is securely clipped and making good thermal contact. Reseat the connector at the control board.
- Measure resistance: Compare to the Heat Siphon spec chart. Replace if readings are abnormal.
- Board evaluation: If a new sensor does not clear d1, the control board may need replacement by a qualified technician.
