Possible Causes
Loose PVC unions at heater connections, Cracked manifold or header, Internal titanium heat exchanger leak, Condensation misidentified as leak
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off pump and power before working on plumbing.
- Identify source: Run the pump only (heater off) and observe where water appears. Distinguish between normal condensate (clear water dripping from coil area) and pressurized leaks at fittings.
- Tighten unions: Check the inlet and outlet PVC unions on the Heat Siphon. Hand‑tighten, then snug slightly with a strap wrench if needed. Do not overtighten.
- Inspect manifold: Look for cracks in the plastic water manifold or header. Replace if damaged.
- Heat exchanger leak: If water is seeping from inside the cabinet or from the bottom with pump running, the titanium heat exchanger may be leaking. This requires professional diagnosis and likely replacement.
