How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before opening the electrical panel.
- Locate outlet sensor: Find the outlet NTC sensor on the heater’s outlet pipe or sensor pocket.
- Check physical seating: Ensure the sensor probe is fully inserted and secured in the well or fitting so it can accurately sense water temperature.
- Inspect cable and plug: Look for visible damage along the cable. Unplug and replug the connector on the main PCB to clear oxidation.
- Measure resistance: If you have the skills and tools, measure the sensor resistance and compare with Hewalex specifications. Replace if out of tolerance.
- Test operation: After reseating or replacing the sensor, restore power and clear the error via the control panel.
