Possible Causes

Defective Kripsol outlet NTC sensor, Loose or corroded sensor connector, Short circuit in sensor cable, Sensor not fully inserted into outlet manifold

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power before working on sensors or the control board.

  • Locate outlet sensor: Identify the Kripsol outlet NTC probe on the heater’s outlet manifold or heat exchanger outlet.
  • Check mechanical fit: Ensure the sensor is fully seated in its well or threaded port and secured with the retaining clip or nut.
  • Inspect and test: Examine the wiring harness for damage. Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance at pool temperature; compare to the Kripsol NTC chart. Replace if readings are out of range.
  • Connector cleaning: Clean any oxidation from the connector pins with electrical contact cleaner and reconnect firmly.
  • Restart: Restore power and attempt to run the heater. If E06 persists with a known-good sensor, the control board’s sensor input may be faulty and require professional replacement.
