Possible Causes
Incorrect wiring of Kripsol remote thermostat terminals, Broken communication cable to Kripsol automation system, Incompatible external controller, Faulty low-voltage input circuit on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before working on low-voltage terminals. Do not short control terminals together unless specified by the manufacturer.
- Check mode: On the Kripsol control panel, verify whether the heater is set to local or remote mode. If using local control only, disable remote mode to clear E11.
- Inspect wiring: Open the low-voltage terminal compartment and verify that the external thermostat or automation wires are correctly landed on the Kripsol remote terminals as per the wiring diagram.
- Test cable: Disconnect the external controller and test the cable for continuity and shorts. Replace if damaged.
- Bypass test: If allowed by the manual, temporarily install a factory jumper across the remote terminals to simulate a call for heat. If the heater runs without E11, the external controller or wiring is at fault.
- Board input check: If E11 remains even with correct wiring and a jumper, the control board’s remote input circuit may be defective and require replacement.
