Possible Causes
Loose harness between main control and ignition module, Faulty ignition module, Defective main control board, Electrical noise or interference
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before working on internal electronics.
- Inspect harness: Locate the multi-pin harness connecting the Nirvana main control board to the ignition control module. Reseat both ends and check for bent pins or corrosion.
- Check board mounting: Ensure both boards are securely mounted and not flexing, which can stress connectors.
- Look for damage: Examine both boards for burned components, cracked solder joints, or moisture damage.
- Power cycle: Restore power and perform a full power cycle (off for 2–3 minutes, then on). If F16 clears temporarily and returns, one of the boards is likely failing.
- Board replacement: Replace the ignition module or main board with OEM Nirvana parts as directed by diagnostic procedures in the service manual.
