How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and gas before servicing.
- Inspect pressure tubing: Locate the small rubber or silicone tube from the blower housing to the air pressure switch. Check for cracks, kinks, or water in the tube. Clear or replace as needed.
- Test switch operation: With power off, disconnect the wires and check continuity. The switch should be open with blower off and close when blower runs. Replace if stuck or not switching correctly.
- Check blower performance: Ensure the blower starts promptly and runs smoothly. A weak blower may not create enough pressure to close the switch.
- Replace air pressure switch: If tubing and blower are good but E26 persists, replace the air pressure switch with the correct Pentair part.
