Possible Causes

Thermostat set too high relative to pool volume, Stagnant water around Poolex titanium heat exchanger due to low flow, Faulty outlet temperature sensor reading too high, Control board calibration error

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Ensure no one is in the pool while troubleshooting electrical equipment. Turn off power before opening panels.

Steps:

  • Check setpoint: Confirm the target pool temperature on the Poolex controller is reasonable (e.g., 26–30°C). Lower it and see if E1 clears.
  • Verify circulation: Make sure the pool pump is running and that water is moving strongly at the returns.
  • Measure actual pool temperature: Use a separate pool thermometer to compare with the Poolex display. If the display is much higher, the outlet sensor may be faulty.
  • Reset: Power cycle the unit and monitor operation.

If E1 recurs and the pool is not actually overheating, have a technician test the outlet sensor and main control board.
