Possible Causes
Defective outlet temperature sensor, Loose or corroded sensor connector, Broken sensor lead, Sensor installed in wrong port
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF power to the heater before removing panels or touching wiring.
- Locate outlet sensor: Identify the outlet (return) temperature sensor on the heater header or plumbing. Confirm it is installed in the correct port as per the Poolworld manual.
- Inspect wiring and connector: Check the sensor cable for damage and ensure the connector at the control board is fully seated. Look for signs of moisture intrusion at the connector.
- Dry and clean: If moisture is present, dry the area thoroughly and use contact cleaner on the connector. Allow to dry before reconnecting.
- Reset and test: Restore power and call for heat. If E06 persists, replace the outlet temperature sensor with the correct Poolworld part.
Warning: Incorrect sensor readings can cause the heater to overheat or short-cycle; do not bypass sensors.
