Possible Causes
Incorrect sensor type installed, Sensor wiring extended improperly, Control board calibration fault, Multiple sensors cross-wired
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF power before working on sensor wiring.
- Confirm correct sensor: Verify that the installed thermistor part number matches the Poolworld specification for your model.
- Check wiring length: If sensor leads were extended, ensure twisted-pair cable was used and splices are secure and waterproof.
- Inspect for cross-wiring: Make sure inlet, outlet, and water temperature sensors are connected to the correct terminals on the control board.
- Reset control: Perform a factory reset of the control (if available in the menu) to clear calibration errors. If E17 persists, the control board may require replacement.
Warning: Using non-approved sensors can cause inaccurate temperature control and heater damage.
